Today was my final session in Derry for the Writer’s residencies in Oakgrove College, Sacred Heart Primary School and St. Joseph’s College. Poetry Ireland Writers in Schools Scheme and the Island / Oileán programme. I had a lovely visit to Taobhoige National School for this project. The theme was Emigration & the Diaspora. I asked the 28 in the classroom if they knew anyone who was living away from Donegal. They all knew someone close to them.
