Cathedral Quarter Literary Festival Oct 7 & 8th

Inaugural Cathedral Quarter Literary Festival –
Friday Oct. 7 & 8th
Senator David Norris will visit Donegal to officially launch the inaugural Cathedral Quarter Literary Festival in Letterkenny next weekend. The festival opens on Friday 7th October with a pre-drinks meet and greet in the Regional Cultural Centre at 8pm, followed by the official opening of the Cathedral Quarter Literary Festival at 8.30pm. On the night, there will be music by Colmcille Gospel Choir and drama by Kieran Kelly and everyone is welcome to attend.
A jam-packed programme of events is planned for Saturday 8th October starting with a family event with Clown Sergeant Aheb the Literary Police at 11am at Whole Green Foods on the Church Lane. This will be followed by a literary event for all the family in Conwal Parish Centre at 2pm.
Universal Books will host a contemporary mystery play written by Paul McCollum at 5pm.

To close the festival, an open mic literary event will be held in Berry Layne from 8pm. Chaired by Denise Blake with poets, Maureen Curran and James Finnegan. The closing event will also include music from students of the Music in Education Partnership. There will also be an open mic.
All events are free to attend. There will be donation buckets at each event with all donations going towards the Letterkenny Cathedral Quarter project.
